watermelon slices with tajin - featured image

A quick and refreshing summer snack featuring juicy watermelon slices sprinkled with Tajin seasoning, fresh lime juice, and a pinch of sea salt for a spicy, tangy, and sweet flavor explosion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium watermelon (about 5 pounds / 2.3 kg)
  • 2 tablespoons Tajin Clásico Seasoning
  • 1 lime, juiced (about 2 tablespoons)
  • Pinch of coarse sea salt (about 1/8 teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Pick and prep the watermelon by washing it and slicing into thick wedges about 1 to 1.5 inches thick.
  2. In a small bowl, combine Tajin seasoning with fresh lime juice to create a spicy-lime drizzle.
  3. Lay watermelon slices on a serving tray and drizzle the Tajin-lime mixture over each slice.
  4. Sprinkle a pinch of coarse sea salt over the slices to enhance sweetness and balance heat.
  5. Let the slices rest for about 5 minutes at room temperature to allow flavors to meld (optional).
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Avoid overdoing Tajin to prevent overpowering the watermelon’s natural sweetness. Let watermelon sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before seasoning for better spice adherence. Serve immediately or within 2 days refrigerated. Do not freeze.
