A quick and easy patriotic chocolate bark featuring a rich dark chocolate base, fresh berries, and a white chocolate drizzle, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (340 g) dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
  • 4 oz (115 g) white chocolate
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh blueberries, rinsed and dried
  • ½ cup (75 g) fresh raspberries (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Optional add-ins: ¼ cup (30 g) toasted pecans or pistachios, shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and melt in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth and glossy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the lined baking sheet and spread evenly into a 10×12 inch rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  4. Let the chocolate set slightly for 3-5 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Prepare the berries by hulling and halving strawberries, rinsing and drying blueberries and raspberries.
  6. Gently press the berries into the slightly firm dark chocolate, distributing evenly without overcrowding.
  7. Melt the white chocolate using the same method as the dark chocolate, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  8. Drizzle the white chocolate over the berry-studded dark chocolate in a zigzag or star pattern using a spoon or piping bag.
  9. Lightly sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the bark.
  10. Chill the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until the chocolate is firm and snaps easily.
  11. Break the bark into rustic pieces and enjoy. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

Avoid overheating chocolate to prevent grainy texture. Dry berries thoroughly to prevent sogginess. Use quality chocolate for best results. Chill bark in refrigerator but avoid freezing to maintain shine and texture. Reheat gently if chocolate hardens during preparation.
