A quick and easy game day snack featuring crispy flatbread topped with spicy honey buffalo chicken, melted cheese, and a creamy blue cheese drizzle. Perfect for gatherings and packed with bold flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Flatbread (store-bought naan or any thin flatbread, e.g., Stonefire naan)
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken breast or rotisserie chicken (about 300g)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/3 cup buffalo hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (raw or wildflower)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese (about 100g)
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles (about 30g)
  • Green onions (thinly sliced, for topping)
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing (for drizzling or dipping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Stir in 1/3 cup buffalo hot sauce, 2 tablespoons honey, and 2 cloves minced garlic. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups cooked shredded chicken with half of the buffalo honey sauce. Toss gently to coat evenly without overmixing.
  4. Place flatbread(s) on a baking sheet. Spread the sauced chicken evenly across each flatbread, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Sprinkle 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese generously over the chicken.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbling and crust is toasted. Tent with foil if edges brown too fast.
  7. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles and sliced green onions on top.
  8. Drizzle with ranch or blue cheese dressing if desired. Serve warm with extra sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

For extra crispness, broil flatbread for 1-2 minutes after baking but watch closely to avoid burning. To keep dairy-free, substitute mozzarella with plant-based cheese and use dairy-free ranch or extra honey instead of blue cheese. For gluten-free, use gluten-free flatbread or tortillas. Prep sauce and chicken ahead to save time. Avoid microwaving leftovers to maintain crispness; reheat in oven instead.
