A quick and easy patriotic-themed charcuterie board featuring a colorful mix of cheeses, meats, fresh fruits, nuts, and crackers, perfect for summer gatherings and backyard parties.

Ingredients

  • Sharp Cheddar, sliced or cubed
  • Soft Goat Cheese, crumbled or in a small bowl
  • Blue Cheese Crumbles (optional)
  • Thinly sliced Pepperoni or Salami
  • Prosciutto strips (optional)
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries, halved or sliced
  • Red Grapes or Cherry Tomatoes
  • Seedless Cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • Mixed Nuts (almonds, pecans, or walnuts)
  • Assorted Crackers (buttery water crackers and multigrain)
  • Pretzel Twists or Sticks
  • Italian Marinated Olives
  • Fresh Rosemary or Thyme Sprigs
  • Honey or Fig Jam

Instructions

  1. Rinse fresh fruits and vegetables under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Slice strawberries in halves or quarters depending on size. Thinly slice cucumbers and cut cheddar into bite-sized cubes or slices.
  2. Place the cheddar, goat cheese (in a small bowl or as crumbles), and blue cheese crumbles spaced evenly across the board.
  3. Fold or roll pepperoni and prosciutto slices and place them in small piles or fan shapes near the cheeses.
  4. Scatter blueberries, strawberries, grapes, and cucumber slices around the meats and cheeses, layering some pieces overlapping to add depth and color contrast.
  5. Add clusters of mixed nuts, crackers, and pretzels to fill empty spaces and provide variety in texture.
  6. Spoon marinated olives into small bowls and place on the board. Drizzle a little honey or add a dollop of fig jam next to the cheeses. Garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs.
  7. Adjust the arrangement for balanced color and texture. Serve immediately or cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Let cheeses sit at room temperature about 20-30 minutes before serving for best flavor. Prep ingredients ahead and assemble just before guests arrive to keep fresh. Use gluten-free crackers or dairy-free cheese alternatives for dietary needs. Store crackers separately to maintain crunch. Rinse and pat dry fruits before reuse if needed.
