A quick and easy recipe for crispy Brussels sprouts cooked in an air fryer and coated with a sticky, tangy-sweet balsamic honey glaze. Perfect as a flavorful side or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Trim off the stem ends and peel away any yellow or damaged leaves from the Brussels sprouts. Cut each sprout in half lengthwise.
  2. Place the halved sprouts in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat evenly.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  4. Arrange the sprouts cut side down in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding.
  5. Cook for 12 minutes, shaking or turning halfway through to brown evenly. The sprouts should be golden and crispy on the edges but tender inside.
  6. While the sprouts cook, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, and lemon juice in a small bowl to make the glaze.
  7. Transfer the cooked sprouts to a mixing bowl. Pour the balsamic honey glaze over and toss gently to coat all sprouts.
  8. Serve immediately, optionally sprinkled with red pepper flakes or flaky sea salt.

Notes

Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even crisping. Preheat the air fryer for best texture. Add the glaze after cooking to prevent burning. For a vegan version, substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar. To reheat leftovers, warm in a 375°F oven for 5-7 minutes to maintain crispiness.
