A quick and easy creamy honey mustard dressing that is smooth, tangy, and slightly sweet, perfect for dips, marinades, and drizzling over salads or roasted veggies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Measure out 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (if using), and salt and pepper to taste.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and honey until smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in the apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until fully incorporated, about 20 seconds.
  4. Add salt and freshly ground black pepper gradually, tasting as you go, usually about 1/4 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper.
  5. Let the dressing sit in the fridge for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld and thicken slightly.
  6. Optional: Blend the dressing briefly in a food processor or with an immersion blender for an ultra-smooth texture.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for easier mixing. Rest the dressing in the fridge for at least 15 minutes to meld flavors. Adjust thickness by whisking in water or more vinegar if needed. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week. For a lighter version, substitute half the mayo with Greek yogurt or use dairy-free mayo. Add cayenne or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
