Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin-on or skinless)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Juice of 1 large lemon (about 3 tbsp)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down if applicable.
  4. Brush the fillets with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  5. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. While the salmon is baking, prepare the lemon butter sauce. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  7. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  8. Stir in lemon juice and honey, then remove from heat. Add chopped parsley and stir to combine.
  9. Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 2-3 minutes.
  10. Drizzle the lemon butter sauce generously over the salmon fillets and garnish with extra parsley.
