Irresistible Roasted Pear and Brie Flatbread Recipe

A delicious and elegant flatbread recipe featuring roasted pears, creamy brie, and peppery arugula. Perfect for a quick appetizer or light dinner.

  • 1 thin flatbread or naan
  • 2 medium-sized ripe pears, thinly sliced (Anjou or Bartlett)
  • 6 ounces brie cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 1 handful fresh arugula
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional garnishes: crushed walnuts, balsamic glaze, fresh thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and thinly slice the pears, removing the core but keeping the skin. Spread the slices on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle lightly with olive oil. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over the top.
  3. Bake the pear slices for 10-12 minutes, or until they’re slightly softened and caramelized around the edges.
  4. Place the flatbread on a separate baking sheet and brush it lightly with olive oil.
  5. Slice the brie into thin pieces and arrange them evenly over the flatbread, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Carefully arrange the roasted pear slices over the brie.
  7. Bake the flatbread in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the brie has melted and the edges of the flatbread are golden and crispy.
  8. Remove the flatbread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Top with fresh arugula and drizzle with honey. Add optional garnishes like crushed walnuts or balsamic glaze if desired.
  9. Slice the flatbread into squares or wedges and serve warm.
