  • 10 ounces mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it with butter. Set aside.
  2. In a large pot, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over low heat.
  3. Add 10 ounces of mini marshmallows to the pot, stirring constantly until completely melted and smooth. This should take about 3-4 minutes. Avoid overheating.
  4. Stir in 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until fully incorporated.
  5. Remove the pot from heat and quickly add 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal. Stir gently but thoroughly until the cereal is evenly coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Use a buttered spatula or lightly greased hands to press it down evenly. Be careful not to pack it too tightly.
  7. Let the treats cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Once set, slice into squares or rectangles.
