A quick and easy healthy breakfast bowl combining fresh strawberries with creamy Greek yogurt, honey, and crunchy granola or nuts. Perfect for Valentine’s Day or any morning craving a fresh, comforting start.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 1 cup (about 150 grams or 5.3 oz) fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup (30 grams or 1 oz) granola or toasted nuts (almonds or walnuts)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds or flaxseed (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • A few fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash 1 cup (150 g) of fresh strawberries thoroughly. Remove the green stems and slice them into thin pieces. Set aside.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, add 1 cup (240 ml) of plain Greek yogurt. Stir in 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of honey or maple syrup and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract if using. Mix until evenly combined and creamy.
  3. Spoon half of the sweetened yogurt into your serving bowl or jar. Add half of the sliced strawberries over the yogurt layer. Repeat with the remaining yogurt and strawberries to create appealing layers.
  4. Sprinkle 1/4 cup (30 g) of granola or toasted nuts on top. If desired, sprinkle 1 teaspoon of chia seeds or flaxseed for an extra nutritional punch.
  5. Add a few fresh mint leaves for color and freshness. Serve immediately or chill for 10-15 minutes if you prefer it cooler.

Notes

Use thick Greek yogurt for best texture. Toast nuts lightly for extra flavor. Keep granola separate until serving to avoid sogginess. Adjust sweetness to taste. For dairy-free or vegan options, substitute with almond or coconut yogurt and maple syrup. Drain excess liquid from strawberries if very juicy.
