  • 1 cup (240 ml) Greek yogurt, preferably full-fat
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) dark chocolate chips, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse 1 cup (150 g) of fresh strawberries under cold water. Hull and slice into thin, bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, add 1 cup (240 ml) of Greek yogurt. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup if desired. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon chia seeds into the yogurt mixture if using. Stir well and let sit for 5 minutes to soften if desired.
  4. Spoon the yogurt mixture into your serving bowl. Arrange the sliced strawberries evenly over the top.
  5. Scatter 2 tablespoons (30 g) of dark chocolate chips or chopped chunks across the strawberries.
  6. Garnish with a few fresh mint leaves if desired.
  7. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor. If preparing ahead, keep components separate and assemble just before serving.

Notes

If Greek yogurt is too thick, stir in a splash of milk to loosen. Chop chocolate into bigger chunks for better melty bites. Keep chocolate and fruit separate if prepping ahead to avoid sogginess. Use fresh ripe strawberries for best flavor. Can substitute berries or nuts for variation.
