A rich and nostalgic seven-layer dessert perfect for game day, combining chocolate, coconut, caramel, and nuts for a crowd-pleasing treat that’s quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (200g) graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (80g) sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup (120g) chopped pecans or walnuts, toasted
  • 1 cup (175g) chocolate chips (semisweet or milk chocolate)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) caramel sauce
  • 1 can (14 oz / 396g) sweetened condensed milk
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, fresh berries or sliced bananas

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base (10 minutes): In a large bowl, combine 2 cups (200g) of graham cracker crumbs with 1/2 cup (115g) melted unsalted butter. Mix well until the crumbs are evenly coated and hold together when pressed. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of your 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking dish to form an even crust. Set aside.
  2. Layer the Coconut and Nuts (5 minutes): Sprinkle 1 cup (80g) of sweetened shredded coconut evenly over the graham cracker crust. Follow with 1 cup (120g) of toasted chopped pecans or walnuts, spreading them out evenly.
  3. Add the Chocolate (2 minutes): Scatter 1 cup (175g) of chocolate chips over the nut layer.
  4. Drizzle the Caramel (3 minutes): Warm 1/2 cup (120ml) caramel sauce slightly to make it easier to drizzle, then pour it evenly over the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the Sweetened Condensed Milk (2 minutes): Slowly pour one 14 oz (396g) can of sweetened condensed milk over the entire assembled layers.
  6. Chill for Setting (at least 2 hours): Cover the dish loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  7. Serve: Before serving, top with whipped cream and fresh berries if desired. Cut into squares and enjoy.

Notes

Use room temperature melted butter to avoid soggy base. Toast nuts carefully to avoid bitterness. Chill at least 2 hours or overnight for best results. Warm caramel sauce slightly if too thick. Can substitute ingredients for gluten-free, nut-free, or vegan versions. Flavors improve after chilling overnight.
