A quick and easy recipe for tender salmon bites glazed with a sweet honey garlic sauce and finished with a zesty lemon herb butter, perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free option)
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Season lightly with salt and pepper on all sides.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine softened butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth and fluffy. Cover and refrigerate until needed.
  4. Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a skillet. Add salmon bites in a single layer, leaving space between pieces. Sear undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Pour the honey garlic glaze evenly over the salmon bites. Reduce heat to medium and gently toss or spoon the glaze over the bites, letting it thicken for 1-2 minutes without burning.
  6. Remove the pan from heat and dollop the lemon herb butter over the salmon bites. Let it melt naturally, spooning it over to coat the bites.
  7. Serve immediately, drizzling any remaining butter and glaze from the pan over the top. Garnish with extra parsley or lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

Pat salmon dry before cooking to ensure a good sear. Avoid overcrowding the pan to get a caramelized crust. Lower heat if honey glaze starts to burn. Use fresh garlic for best flavor. Prepare glaze and butter while cutting salmon to save time. Reheat leftovers gently on stovetop to preserve glaze and texture.
