  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream (cold)
  • 2 tablespoons (15 g) powdered sugar
  • Β½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups (480 ml) of milk, 2 tablespoons (10 g) of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 2 tablespoons (25 g) of granulated sugar. Whisk together over medium heat until the mixture is smooth and steaming, about 5 minutes.
  2. Once the hot chocolate is heated, stir in Β½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) of vanilla extract. Remove it from the heat and keep warm.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup (240 ml) of heavy cream, 2 tablespoons (15 g) of powdered sugar, and Β½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) of vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer to whip the cream until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour the hot chocolate into mugs, leaving space at the top. Spoon the whipped cream generously over the hot chocolate to create a luscious, cloud-like topping.
  5. Add toppings such as marshmallows, chocolate shavings, crushed candy canes, or caramel sauce. Serve immediately and enjoy.
